A Consumer Group are warning people to keep an eye out for cold callers, these debt management firms and credit brokers are scamming numerous people into paying out huge amounts of money.
The number of complaints to the Citizens Advice Bureau from people who had received calls from these firms, which are offering loans to them, has significantly risen.
The people who are mainly targeted are those that desperately need a loan, these people are accepted for loan, but are told they need to pay a fee upfront. Once the company receives the money, people are being told that the loan application has fallen through leaving them with no possible way of getting their money back.
